As younger Gen X, I relate to millennials in some way.
They purportedly value experience over belongings.
I get that.
As a corporate salaried worker, I see the long term value of this mindset.
We only have today and can only enjoy today so traveling is vital.
I’m traveling alone in a week and I can’t wait. It gives me something to look forward too.
I’m invested in the idea that “you can’t take it with you”
And in the idea that you “live each day like it’s your last”.
Anyone on a loved one’s deathbed would agree.
